What I'm doing now
Updated: February 2026
Work
Currently working in year 4 of cmd leeuwarden. Helping students to find interesting projects to graduate on. With a strong focus on design research.
And also working in the master Health Innovation of NHLStenden, teaching Health professionals about how to design interventions for Health care.
Am trying to write a couple of short or not-so-short articles for some of my lectures.
Projects
There is a lot of stuff going on at the moment. Working on:
- Hamaki
- Rhythm, providing daily structure for people with a mental disability
- MusicRoom, music streaming for Android (but mostly e/os). Only works for me right now.
- Building a scheduling tool for use in education
- Moving away from big tech, largely completed my goals. Moved music to Qobuz and self hosted streaming in Navidrome. Last goal is to get to cheapest paid iCloud subscription.
Rhythm
A caregiver can create timeblocks in a day for a caretaker:

The caretaker sees this blocks just in time in a widget and app.
Listening to
- Lézard, kind of LCD soundsystem/ David Bowie/ Disco. Check out here
- Tessa rose Jackson, warm blanket folk. Look at the artwork at her website, its amazing: Tessa rose Jackson
Learning
Exploring how static websites can be connected to (open) social networks.
Reading
Currently reading The Circle by Dave Eggers, but having a hard time reading a dystopian novel in a dystopian time.
This is a “now page”, inspired by Derek Sivers. It’s a snapshot of what I’m focused on right now.
